Tutoring for All, the commercial activity arm of The Tutors’ Association

Welcome

Tutoring for All (TFA) is the training arm of The Tutors’ Association, the UK’s leading membership organisation for professional tutors.

As well as providing training for our own members, TFA offers:

  • Bespoke training programmes for other organisations that are looking to train tutors and equip with them with all the necessary skills to deliver effective tuition to children.
    • Education consultancy including M&A, teaching practice and technology integration.
    • Educational programme design and advisory services.

Tutor Training programmes

Our programmes can be designed to cover a wide range of subjects that address all aspects of tutoring, including some concepts and ideas at the cutting edge of educational development. These include:

  • Safeguarding
  • Tutoring skills and techniques
  • Tutoring programme design
  • Online, face-to-face and small group tutoring
  • Special needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Physical and mental wellbeing
  • Mindfulness and stress management
  • Educational theory and pedagogy
  • Cognitive science and neuroscience
  • Teacher-tutor conversion

The precise content and duration of individual programmes will vary depending on the needs of the organisation, and we co-design the programmes with you to make sure that they are an exact match for your requirements.

Background

The Tutors’ Association was set up in 2013 and currently represents, through its individual and corporate members, some 50,000 professional tutors and educators.

Our membership includes not only some of the most respected tutors and tutoring businesses in the UK, but also organisations with significant experience of the whole supplementary education arena – from the design of technical platforms to professional tutor-trainers.

Tutoring for All was set up in 2020 and draws on all this experience and more. Our training programmes are innovative, challenging and highly effective, reflecting our commitment to creating the next generation of professional tutors; tutors who can enable every child they tutor to achieve their maximum potential

The National Tutoring Programme (NTP) aims to support state schools by providing small-group tuition. It is aimed at pupils suffering from the attainment gap created by the full or partial closure of schools as a result of the Covid pandemic.
